New Delhi: The Central Government has called an important meeting today to solve the problems arising out of increasing congestion at the airports of the country. Crowd management measures will be found in this meeting to be chaired by Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla.

Official sources said that this meeting will be held in the office of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday. Earlier, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had said that a meeting of officials of airlines, airport authorities, and CISF was called to discuss the problem. In this, a discussion was held for three hours regarding the crowd at Delhi airport and delays in flights.

Notably, the Indira Gandhi International Airport of the national capital Delhi is getting crowded these days. Due to this people have to come hours before the flight. People are venting their anger on social media due to standing in queues for hours.

Earlier, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia did a surprise inspection of T3 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Monday. After the visit, in a social media post, Scindidia wrote, “In the last 24-36 hours, all agencies have swung into action to mitigate congestion at every checkpoint at all major airports. Congestion at entry points and check-in counters at T3 (Terminal-3) has eased.”

The number of domestic flights has also increased significantly. Its maximum effect is seen at the airports of cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata. Because these are big airports and from here domestic and international flights are available for every region. Now the passenger fare has also started coming down considerably.
