Mathura: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make history with his first-ever visit to Mathura on November 23, marking a significant moment as he becomes the first Prime Minister to visit the birthplace of Lord Krishna. The three-hour visit has prompted extensive preparations for a grand welcome, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally receiving the Prime Minister upon arrival.
Mathura takes center stage for PM Modi, following his visits to Ayodhya and Kashi. Security assessments, conducted by the Special Protection Group (SPG) on November 22, 2023, ensured robust arrangements. An impressive deployment of 4,000 police and PAC personnel anticipates the Prime Minister’s visit.
This visit gains added significance as it aligns with the recent approval by the Allahabad High Court for the construction of Yogi Adityanath’s Banke Bihari temple corridor in Uttar Pradesh, paving the way for the removal of encroachments hindering the corridor’s development.
Cabinet Minister Chaudhary Lakshmi Narayan revealed the Prime Minister’s itinerary, highlighting his initial visit to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, followed by participation in the Braj Raj Utsav. The PM is scheduled to arrive in Mathura by 4 pm, with a departure around 6:15 pm.
Mathura DM Shailendra Kumar Singh hinted at the possibility of the PM visiting Banke Bihari, outlining a potential route from the Army Helipad upon the PM’s helicopter landing.
The visit’s agenda includes a 40-minute address by PM Modi at the Braj Raj Utsav Railway Ground. Additionally, the PM is slated to watch a 5-minute documentary prepared by the administration commemorating the 525th birth anniversary of Mirabai.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unprecedented visit to Mathura stands as a historic event, underscoring the cultural and religious significance of the birthplace of Lord Krishna. The grand welcome, security preparations, and alignment with key developments in the region amplify the importance of this visit. As the Prime Minister addresses the Braj Raj Utsav and partakes in cultural celebrations, Mathura becomes a focal point of national attention, symbolizing the government’s commitment to preserving and celebrating India’s rich heritage.
