Madhya Pradesh: Rains have worsened the situation in Madhya Pradesh due to the floods. Due to incessant rains in Gwalior-Chambal, Kuno, Parvati, Kwari, and Sindh rivers, more than 250 villages in Shivpuri, Sheopur, and Guna have been engulfed in floods.
3 helicopters of the Indian Air Force, teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have left for rescue in Sheopur.
The Kwari river in Vijaypur is in the form of Raidra, while Kuna river in Shahapur has climbed to 10-15 feet on the bridge. At the same time, there is heavy rainfall in Karhal village. About 150 villages have been cut off from cities and towns where administrative help could not reach due to the river being in spate on the way to Dharampura.
Houses and shops of the people are flooded causing damage to lakhs of people. Normal life is completely disrupted. The situation of waterlogging has been created and in lower settlements, the goods of the people are seen floating.
