Hathras: Uttar Pradesh police on Monday arrested four individuals, who are said to have links with the alleged radical group Popular Front of India (PFI), for their supposed inclusion in stirring savagery in Hathras. The police said that four PFI men were arrested at Mathura while they were en route to Hathras from Delhi.
The four charged were arrested at Mathura’s cost court when the police were marking vehicles in the wake of getting a tip off that some dubious individuals were moving towards Hathras from Delhi.
The four were identified as Atiq-ur Rehman of Muzaffarnagar, Siddique of Malappuram, Masood Ahmed of Bahraich and Alam of Rampur. Police claimed that they have held onto their cell phones, PCs and some writing, which could disturb peace and stability in Uttar Pradesh.
As per Uttar Pradesh police, the four accused had linked with the PFI and its partner association Campus Front of India (CFI). It is to be noticed that the UP police had before looked for a restriction on PFI for the association’s contribution in rough fights against Citizenship Amendment Act.
Conversing with reporters, ADG law and order Prashant Kumar stated, Police had gotten data that some suspicious people were going from Delhi towards Hathras, after which suspicious vehicles were checked at Math Toll Plaza, Mathura on Monday. Hathras got features following a 19-year-old young lady was supposedly assaulted on September 14 and she capitulated to her wounds following fourteen days at Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital.
