New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and his wife Sonal Shah were seen hoisting the flag in a video that was shared on social media. Promoting the Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign launched by PM Modi, Shah and his wife hoisted the flag on their residence.
Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, also led a morning march in Guwahati on Saturday in support of the campaign. The Chief Minister shared images and videos, on his Twitter handle describing the march, “Happy to start my day with schoolchildren who voluntarily joined the “Prabhat Pheri” (a traditional morning march) held to commemorate #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav in advance of #IndependenceDay. I got goosebumps with their chant of “Vande Mataram”!)
The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath was also seen today with schoolchildren launching the tricolour yatra at his residence in Lucknow as part of the inauguration of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.
Meanwhile, Chandigarh registered a Guinness World Record for having formed the largest human waving the National flag in a cricket stadium in Sector 16 to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Around 7,500 students of the Chandigarh University and NIF Foundation dressed up in the form of the national flag and assembled like the national flag scripting their mark in the golden book of world record.
On the same line, celebrations were witnessed in ITI of Berhampur, Odisha, where a 13 feet tall, 400 kgs India map was installed on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence.
In order to embrace the spirit of the Independence Day celebration, last month Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the Country’s citizens to raise flags at their residences and alter their social media profile image to Tiranga to mark the 75th Independence day.
