New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, on February 1, took to his Twitter handle to accuse the ruling BJP government led by Narendra Modi, of planning to ‘handover India’s assets to crony capitalist friends. The Congress leader also expressed his disappointment regarding the Union Budget that was presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at the Parliament House on February 1.
Through his reaction to the union budget held at Parliament House on February 1, Gandhi accused the central government of not allocating any amount for the needy and poverty-affected people, stricken by the worldwide pandemic.
The Congress leader, in his Twitter handle, has posted – “Forget putting cash in the hands of people, Modi Govt plans to handover India’s assets to his crony capitalist friends”.
Notably, earlier in the day, the Congress Leader opined through a tweet that the MSMEs and the farmers need support from the central government. The workers, as well, need employments to be generated. Gandhi asked for an increase in the healthcare expenditure as well as in the defense expenditure. “Support MSMEs, farmers, and workers to generate employment. Increase Healthcare expenditure to save lives. Increase Defence expenditure to safeguard borders”, he tweeted.
