Baghpat: In Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district, a case of human shame has emerged. A newlywed bride is said to have been put to death by her in-laws for not paying the dowry demand. After that, they went to the crematorium without informing her family members to perform the final rituals of the deceased , and when the married bride’s relatives found out, they alerted the police. Following that, the police arrived on the scene, removed the half-burned body from the burning pyre, and transported it for a post-mortem examination. The deceased’s father has filed a complaint against four people in this case, including her husband and mother-in-law.

Sonu, a Baghpat Tikri town inhabitant, married Neelam, a Bulandshahr resident, seven months ago. On Wednesday evening, Neelam (25 years old) died in mysterious circumstances. The deceased’s in-laws performed the final rites late at night without informing her family members. Inspector Doghat Bhupendra Singh claimed that late in the evening, a call came in on dial 112 from the deceased woman’s family, informing them that their daughter had been murdered by her in-laws. As soon as the police learned of this, they travelled to Tikri, where they discovered that the woman’s body had been carried to the crematorium for final rites.
