New Delhi: The Delhi High Court even raised questions on the Tihar premises, asking them why the jail inmates had knives in the jail premises. Therefore, the four individuals who were involved in Tillu Tajpuriya Murder Case have been sent for custody. But this is not just one incident where jail fights or attempts to murder have taken place in the jail.
Tillu Tajpuriya Murder case has made people think about the security levels in Jail premises and also gave a flashback about the gang wars which occur in Jails. He was killed in a high-security jail, and the CCTV foota ge shows that the security guards were just standing when four people were brutally attacking him.
Besides, Tillu Tajpuriya, here are some other incidents wherein gangsters were killed in Jail. Associated with the Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Prince Tewatia was attacked and killed by a rival gang early in the morning on April 14 this year. Prince was under trial and was moved to Ward 6, which already had 380 inmates.
The two Gangsters, who were arrested in Sidhu Moose Wala Murder Case, were killed on 26 February in jail. This Incident took place in the Goindwal Sahib Central Jail, and Manmohan Singh, along with Mandeep Singh, were killed by seven members of the rival gang in the jail.
Earlier on May 2, Tajpuriya’s father and brother had filed a petition seeking an investigation by the CBI into the brutal murder inside Tihar Jail. Justice Jasmeet Singh issued a notice to the Director General of Prisons (Delhi), the Delhi government and the Commissioner of Police on the filed petition.
