Uttar Pradesh: After battling for seven days, the Philibit minor who was gang raped and torched breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the district hospital.
The body of the deceased girl will be handed over to the family after postmortem, the police officials added.
Two accused were arrested for gang-raping a 16-year-old Dalit minor in UP on September 7th in the Madhav Tanda area, Kunwarpur village. After sexually assaulting the minor, tried to burn her body pouring diesel over her. However, the incident came to light when a video, wherein the victim is narrating her ordeal, went viral on September 17th.
A case was registered against the two accused persons on Saturday night under the Indian Penal Code, the Protection of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes Act.
