New Delhi: India recorded 796 fresh infections in the past 24 hours taking the tally to 4,30,36,132. The recovery rate at 98.76 per cent accounted for 946 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,25,04,329. India’s daily positivity rate stood at 0.20 per cent.
The number of active cases stood at 10,889 accounting for 0.03 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a reduction of 169 in the last 24 hours.
However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.21 per cent reported 19 virus-related fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 5,21,710.
The Ministry of Health Family Welfare on Monday administered 15.65 lakh doses taking the cumulative administration of the COVID-19 vaccine over 185.90 crore. So far, more than 2.27 Cr (2,27,48,406) adolescents have been administered the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine under the 12+ vaccination drive. The COVID-19 precaution dose administration for the age group 18-59 years also started from 10th April 2022 onwards. 27,401 precaution doses have been administered so far. Overall, 2,45,63,013 precautionary doses have been administered to HCWs, FLWs and adults above 60 years.
