Haryana: Four suspected terrorists have been arrested from a toll plaza in Haryana, police officials said on Thursday, adding that a huge quantity of arms, ammuniion and explosives have been seized from their possession. It is being siad that the suspects were going to deliver the explosives to Nanded, Maharashtra and Adilabad in Telengana.
Talking to media persons, Haryana chief minister ML Khattar said, “The accused were caught with explosives as they were transiting via Haryana. Police are conducting a thorough investigation.”
Gurpreet the main accused is said to have contacts with Pakistan’s espionage agency Inter-Services Intelligence aka ISI. The arrest was sought at 4 am near Karnal’s Bastara toll plaza in white Toyoyta Innova SUV. The other three suspects have been identified as Bhupinder, Amandeep and Parminder, all residents of Punjab.
Preliminary investigatiosn reveal the four suspects had been takign orders from another Pakistan based terrorist Harvinder Singh.
The siezed cache includes a country made pistol, 31 bullets and three iron containers with IEDs and a csash of Rs 1.3 lakhs. Detailed probe is on, further details awaited, police officials added.
