New Delhi: India’s opposition Congress Party leader, Rahul Gandhi, has embarked on a mammoth five-month march across the country as he seeks to resurrect his party’s political fortunes before 2024 general election.

Among the 230 leaders participating in Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi is spending his nights in one of the 60 containers mounted on the trucks that are being moved daily as the march proceeds.

The former Congress president has got himself an air-conditioned container all for himself while the others have to share the compartment. Senior leaders are provided two bedded containers while other participants are housed in six or 12 bed cottages.

As per sources, the containers are parked daily at night at temporary campsites of about two acres. It further added that no provisions of entertainment has been made.

Around 119 yatris are participating in the pan india trek which will cover 12 states and 2 UTs from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
