New Delhi: For the first time in 62 years, the monsoon arrived in Delhi and Mumbai on the same day. As the rain-bearing system galloped across most of central and northwest India, it arrived 14 days late in the financial capital and two days ahead of the normal date in the national capital.

Conditions are favorable for further advancement of the Southwest monsoon into some more parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and the remaining parts of Jammu and Kashmir during the next 2 days.

Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is likely over Chhattisgarh on 26th, East of Madhya Pradesh on 26th and 27th, West Madhya Pradesh on the 27th and 28th, and over Vidharbha on the 27th June, stated IMD bulletin. Presently three weather systems are prevailing in different places.
