New Delhi: As the farmer’s protest grabbed international attention, a toolkit tweeted by climate activist Greta Thunberg stirred up another controversy. This led to the arrest of the 22-year-old graduate from Bangalore.
And Delhi officials have now issued non-bailable orders against activists Nikita Jacob and Shantanu.
According to their investigation; the organization behind the; toolkit’ shared by Greta Thunberg- Poetic Justice Foundation has liaison Nikita Jacob to conduct a “tweet storm” ahead of 26th January protest by the farmers.
Two new warrants are issued spiraling over the arrest of Disha Ravi. She was busted by a Cyber Cell team of Delhi yesterday and is currently under custody for 5 days.
During her interrogation; Disha said” I did not make Toolkit. We wanted to support the farmers. I edited two lines on February 3.”
The police officials claim Ravi as an editor of the “toolkit Google doc” and a “Key conspirator” in the formulation and dissemination of the document.
Senior lawyer Rebecca John has alleged, “shocking abdication of judicial duties.” According to her the magistrate at Delhi failed to ensure the Bangalore graduate had legal representation in court.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh tweeted ” Utterly atrocious! That is unwarranted harassment and intimidation. I specify my full solidarity with Disha Ravi.”
