As the protest continued on its 16th day, farmers from various states, including Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, visited the Jantar Mantar region with the help of Samyukta Kisan Morcha. The farmers actively participated in Mahapanchayat and addressed the press after that. They reached here to join the Wrestlers Protest, which has been going on for two weeks, demanding the arrest of WFI President and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is alleged of sexual harassment, and the wrestlers are doing the protest to ensure that he is arrested. The Delhi Police officials said that the farmers were in a hurry to join the protest, because of which they even climbed the barricades.

Delhi Police said in an interview that “A group of farmers were escorted to Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. At the entry barricades, they were in a hurry to reach the Dharna site, in which some of them climbed the barricades that fell and were removed them. The protestors at Jantar Mantar are being facilitated. Entry is being regulated through DFMD to ensure safety. Please remain peaceful and abide by the law.”
