New Delhi: On Tuesday, Rajnath Singh, Defense Minister compared Sourav Ganguly, Indian Skipper, and BCCI President with BJP. Whenever Sourav Ganguly steps out of the crease in the stadium, then it is sure that he would hit a six. Similarly, the BJP has also crossed the crease and Rajnath is sure that in the upcoming assembly polls, they will surely hit a six and form the Government in West Bengal.
A public meeting was held in West Midnapore of West Bengal. The Union Minister in the meeting said, “Whenever Sourav Ganguly crossed the crease, it was sure that he would hit a six. Likewise, with your support in Lok Sabha, we have crossed the crease and surely we will hit a six in Assembly polls and form BJP Government here”.
These comments generally come at a time when the speculation is rife over the BCCI President joining BJP ahead of the polls. Rajnath even stated that with a clear majority, the BJP will form the Government in West Bengal.
The Defense Minister said, “The numbers in Lok Sabha polls is an indication of the change that is going to happen in Bengal with the upcoming state Legislative Assembly election”. The election will start in West Bengal from March 27 and will continue up to April 29. The counting of votes will take place on May 2 in West Bengal.
