Election commission of India To Finalize Election Dates; Says Sunil Arora

The Election Commission of India is visiting several states and will soon declare the elections dates.

Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora accompanied his team to Puducherry and Tamil Nadu; declaring commencement of assemblyelections in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry simultaneously.

M. Arora on his two day visit to Puducherry with his team investigated the poll preparations in the UT. A discussion with various departments of the state was held to finalize the dates of the election.

The Chief Election Commissioner has decided to take measures to conduct free and fair elections across the country. All COVID related protocols will be strictly followed. 

The Commission will adopt a zero-tolerance policy against spending money in an arbitrary manner and inducementing voters.
