Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank Releases Date Sheet for CBSE 10th and 12th Board Exams 2021
New Delhi: Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the Union Education Minister on Tuesday released the date sheet for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Examination for the 10th and 12th-grade students.
The Education minister shared a video message on his Twitter handle, announcing the dates for the CBSE Board Examinations, where he mentioned that the nation has already developed 2 vaccines and a massive vaccination roll-out has already been rolled out to fight the pandemic. During his speech in the video, he asserted – “We are not fully safe till we take all precautions as per COVID-19 guidelines”.
His caption with the video read – “Dear Students, hereby announcing the much-awaited date-sheet of @cbseindia29 board exams of X & XII. Please be assured that we have done our best to ensure that these exams go smoothly for you. Wish you good luck! @SanjayDhotreMP @EduMinOfIndia @PIB_India.”
The class 12 exam will be conducted in two shifts – 10.30 to 1.30 pm and the afternoon shift at 2.30 pm onwards. According to CBSE, in the second shift, exams of the subjects which are not offered by the students of schools situated abroad will be held.
In another tweet, he posted the date-sheets for both the board exams, as he has also written down – “Date-sheet of @cbseindia29 board exams of class XII. Wish you good luck! #CBSE”.
In class 10, exams for 75 subjects and in class 12 exam of 111 subjects will be conducted. In 2020, exam schedule was of 45 days, however, in 2021 exam schedule is of 39 days. Accordingly, six days less is taken to conduct the exams in 2021. However, the board claims to have given “sufficient” time between exams of two main subjects to help students prepare.
