UTTAR PRADESH: As per media reports, gangster turned mafia and his brother-co accused Ashraf Ahmed in the murder of Lawyer Umesh Pal were shot dead while being taken for medical test in Pragyaraj by unknown elements.
Earlier today, Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad’s was laid to rest at Kasari-Masari graveyard in Prayagraj amid tight security. Asad’s maternal grandfather Hamid Ali completed all the rituals along with at least 25 relatives of gangster Atiq Ahmed. The police videographed the entire ceremony.
Asad and his aide Ghulam wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case, were killed in an encounter with UP Special Task Force in Jhansi on Thursday.
Umesh Pal, a key witness in the 2005 Raju Pal murder case, was shot dead on February 24 earlier this year by Atiq Ahmed and gang. Umesh’s killing was the latest in a long saga of violence that has followed Raju Pal’s murder in 2005.
