New Delhi: A week after the price of the commercial LPG was hiked, the domestic LPG prices today were raised by another Rs 50, following short of just 50 paise of Rs 1000. According to which the 14.2 kg domestic cylinder would now cost Rs 999.50 from today. Similarly, prices of 5kg cylinders that are used by roadside vendors too have gone up from Rs 355 per cylinder to Rs 373 per cylinder. The OMCs have however reduced commercial LPG prices by Rs 8 per 19kg bottle.
The rates for domestic or cooking gas cylinders were last hiked in March this year. The latest price hike of domestic gas cylinders has come at a time when petrol and diesel prices are already beyond the ₹ 100 per litre mark in several cities across the country.
Last week, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder was hiked by Rs 102.50. The 19-kg commercial cooking gas cylinder now costs Rs 2,355.50.
