Bollywood: As the Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer Chehre is eyeing its big-screen release, the director of the film, Rumi Jaffery expresses hopes about Rhea Chakraborty’s comeback. According to him, she had a shattering 2020, and that she deserves to start afresh.

“I am confident she will get through this phase. Everybody around will advise you to be brave, but only the one going through the ordeal knows how difficult it is. Time is the best healer; with time, she will be fine. She is a talented artist and will be ready to bounce back”, said Jaffery.

Notably, Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Mumbai police as the prime accused after Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide. Allegations said that she used to give Rajput high-doses of anti-depressants for the sake of filching huge amounts of the fund from the actor and abetted him to end his life. She was also accused of drug-related charges, which made her spend 28 days at Byculla jail under police custody.

“People drew their own conclusions on the matter. Ideally, we should wait for the judiciary to give its verdict. Every coin has two sides, but Rhea should also get a fair trial. I have the highest regard for those who supported her then”, – asserted the Chehre director, as the thriller movie is looking forward to a theatrical release.
