The Samajwadi Party M P Dimple Yadav has arrived in Dharamshala to pay obeisance to the spiritual guide to the Tibetans, the Dalai Lama, on Saturday. Of course, while there, she could not miss the opportunity to go to the primary temple of the Tibetans in the city and emphasize that she was searching for spirituality in Tibet.
After the meeting, Dimple Yadav of the media said they were fully behind the cause of the Tibetans. “I have been here in a spiritual mood today,” she continued, “His Highness the Dalai Lama is here today for ‘darshan’ and I have come to pay my visit to him. ” The female MP of the UP’s Mainpuri constituency echoed further and said, “We sided the cause of Tibet,” meaning she also stood for the cause of Tibet.
The Dalai Lama was recently in the United States for a knee replacement surgery, which was later done on the 28th of September, and he got back to Dharamshala. The spiritual master was showered with flowers on arrival by a number of devotees and friends who had gathered at Gaggal Airport in Kangra, surrounded by the mountain ranges, to see him in far better health this time.
Another Arunachal Pradesh CM, Pema Khandu, paid a visit to McLeodganj, Himachal Pradesh, on Friday to seek the blessings of the Dalai Lama in a separate visit. Khandu attended a five-day prayer meeting held by the people of Tawang, which started on September 3 and will end on September 7. Each prayer was said in order to prolong the life of the Dalai Lama.
Khandu said while speaking about his visit, “His health has improved a lot, we also pray for the long life of His Holiness. This morning I had a very good discussion with His Holiness, the Dalai Lama,” the news agency quoted him as saying.
Both visits highlight the significance of the political and religious relationship between the Indian political leadership and the Dalai Lama and the common concern both leaders have towards the issue of Tibet.
