Once again, farmers are agitating for other demands, including guarantee of minimum support price (MSP) of crops and solutions to their pending problems. Farmers are once again going to march to Delhi (Farmers Delhi March) from Shambhu Border of Punjab-Haryana. Today at 1 p.m., a group of 101 farmers will march to Delhi.

The farmer organizations that have been protesting at Shambhu border for the last 8 months are ready to march to Delhi once again. Farmers are once again going to march to Delhi from Punjab-Haryana (Shambhu) border. Farmers have named it ‘Dilli Chalo’ movement, in which farmers who have been protesting at Shambhu border for 8 months (13 February) will move towards Delhi on foot without tractor-trolley at 1 pm today. The first batch of 101 farmers will leave today.

In view of the farmers’ agitation, Haryana Police has tightened security at Shambhu Border. The Haryana government has imposed Section 144 in Ambala (Shambhu Border). Public meetings and processions have been banned. Paramilitary forces have been deployed to maintain law and order. Arrangements for drones and water cannons have also been made. Let us tell you that Shambhu Border connects Patiala in Punjab and Ambala in Haryana.

On the other hand, there is a split in the organizations on the farmers’ movement. Haryana’s farmers’ organizations have distanced themselves from the farmers’ Delhi march. SKM and Kisan Sabha are also angry. The United Kisan Morcha (SKM) has distanced itself from the farmers’ Dilli Chalo march.

Bharatiya Kisan Union (Chadhuni) chief Gurnam Singh Chadhuni said, ‘We were not contacted or consulted. So, so far we have not made any plans to participate in any march. We had tried to support earlier as well, but things did not go well. They are taking decisions on their own and there will be no interference from our side.
