Mumbai: The situation in the country was better till March when people were celebrating fewer corona cases. So, many movies that were put on halt also found their way to a theatrical release. But since the spike in cases in the last month has become scary, theatres have almost become nil again! Thus, the makers of ‘Mumbai saga’, which released in theatres in March, took the decision to re-release the movie again on the digital platform amazon prime video.
John Abraham, who plays the leading role in the movie besides Emraan Hashmi said he was elated with his fans’ response to the movie in the theatres and that he is looking forward to a similar response on the digital platform as well. “The movie was released in cinema halls this March and I am delighted with the response from fans who watched the movie. Mumbai Saga will now premiere on Amazon Prime Video and this feeling of sharing our hard work across the world is amazing. Mumbai Saga is my third project with Sanjay after having worked together on Zinda and Shootout at Wadala”, he said.
The movie stars an ensemble cast besides John and Emraan that includes Mahesh Manjrekar, Sunil Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, and Gulshan Grover amongst others. Hashmi, who plays a cop in the film, also expressed his joy upon the digital release of his movie. He said, “I am thrilled to announce the digital premiere of Mumbai Saga on Amazon Prime Video. Mumbai Saga is very close to my heart”. The makers are hopeful that the movie will garner as much popularity as it garnered in the theatres.
