MAHARASHTRA: Even as the gory of the Najafgarh murder case unfolds, the country woke up to another gruesome murder of a girl in a live in relationship from Maharashtra.

As per sources, a man murdered his live girlfriend and stuffed her body in a mattress. The matter came to the fore when the neighbours complained of foul smell that emanated from the accuseds residence. A search of the rented flat revealed a body stuffed in the mattress. According to senior inspector Shailendra Nagarkar, the murder took place on Sunday evening

The accused, Hardik Shah (27) was intercepted from Nagda railway station in Rajasthan and arrested. A case has been registered at Tulinj Police station in Palghar district.

The victim identified as Megha Torvi (35), a nurse by profession used to live in Vijay Nagar area of Nalasopara with Hardhik who was jobless. For the same reason the couple had arguments several times and in the fit of rage one day the accused killed her, said the police investigating the case. He even informed Megha’s sister about the heinous act and sold off the furniture before fleeing. Megha who was a native of Kerala, had been working for a nursing agency and took up private assignments. She met Shah six months ago and was in a live in relationship since then.

It is also learned that Hardik was disowned by his father after he purportedly spent around ₹40 lakh from his father’s bank account. Reportedly Shah is the son of a diamond trader from Malad.
