Spiritual leader and Peethadhishwar of Bageshwar Dham Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has dismissed concerns about the health of shri premanand ji maharaj, a well-known saint. Speaking to reporters, Shastri confirmed that while reports had been circulating, Maharaj ji was in a stable condition. Shastri said, “There were a lot of anxiety about his health. He is better now. I also met him to invite him to the upcoming padayatra, to which he said yes, and gave us lots of love.”
Dhirendra Shastri’s comments will come as a relief to followers around the country who have been anxious after social media reports of Maharaj ji’s health. For the record, Premanand ji Maharaj has been suffering from total renal failure, and this raised concern amongst the devotees.
Shastri also described his visit with the Hindu saint as warm and spiritually uplifting. He noted that Maharaj ji’s positive response to join the padayatra, is being seen as a good sign of recovery and strength.
