New Delhi: After the resurgence of coronavirus in Maharashtra and Kerala, the Indian capital has mandated a negative RT-PCR report to enter the state.
As per MoHFW, Delhi presented a sudden surge after its neighbouring states detected arrival of mutant strains. Around 6,38,593 infectious cases and 10,905 mortalities have been reported in the past 24 hours.
Passengers to Delhi from Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab by flight, train, or buses will have to submit a negative COVID test report from today (26 February) to March 15. Citizens who arrived in Delhi a week ago are also ordered to get the tests done.
As per sources, a myriad of travellers has arrived in Delhi lately. An inspection by the nodal officers is declared to verify the test reports that shouldn’t surpass 72 hours on their arrival to the state. The DDMA meeting held earlier in the week also contributed opinions on the new travel regulations levied.
