New Delhi: New Delhi on Thursday reported a drastic jump in its COVID-19 infections with the positivity rate at 9.42 per cent. 1,964 fresh infections in the city took the total infection count to 19,90,355.
Eight new deaths added in the last 24 hours took the death toll to 26,408. The positivity reported a fortnightly drop from 19.20 per cent.
On Monday, the city had logged 1,227 cases with a positivity rate of 14.57 per cent, while eight people died due to the disease. Before this, the city logged more than 2,000 cases daily for 12 consecutive days. The city’s active caseload stands at 6,826 currently, the health bulletin informed.
So far the national health bulletin has recorded 19,90,355 cases of COVID-19. Around 19,571,121 patients have recovered so far.
