New Delhi: Delhi lieutenant governor VK Saxena will take legal actions against Aam Admi Party (AAP) leaders, including Saurabh Bhardwaj, Atishi, Durgesh Pathak, and Jasmine Shah, and others for passing highly defamatory and false allegations of corruption against him.

Saxena refuted the AAP leader’s charge of Rs 1400 crore corruption when he was the chairman of  Khadi and Village Industries Commission. Legal action will be taken against the vice-chairman of the Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi.

AAP leaders have been demanding the resignation of Saxena, while Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) lawmakers were pressing for the sacking of ministers Satyendra Jain and Manish Sisodia over alleged corruption allegations.

The AAP has accused Saxena of pressuring two of his subordinates to get demonetized currency notes worth Rs. 1400 crores exchanged during his term in 2016.
