NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Thursday issued notice on bail plea of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the case alleging corruption in implementation of excise policy for the year 2021-22.
Posting the matter for hearing on April 20th, Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma asked the agency to file a response on the AAP leaders bail plea.

On March 31, a trial court here had dismissed Sisodia’s plea, saying he was “prima facie the architect” and played the “most important and vital role” in the criminal conspiracy relating to alleged payment of advance kickbacks of Rs 90-100 crore meant for him and his colleagues in the Delhi government.
The AAP leader was arrested by the CBI on February 26 after an interrogation of more than 8 hours. He was named as an accused in the FIR. It is the case of the probe agency that there were alleged irregularities in the framing and implementation of the excise policy for the year 2021-22.
