Delhi: Satyendar Jain, the Ex-health Minister of Delhi is admitted to a hospital and moved to the ICU. He fell in the bathroom of the Tihar Jail where he’s been held for more than a year due to the money laundering charges. This incident marks the second time in a week that Mr Jain required medical attention.
Arvind Kejriwal, also tweeted saying that, “I pray to God for his better health. The people of Delhi are watching the arrogance and atrocities of the BJP. Even God will not forgive these oppressors. In this struggle, the people are with us and God is by our side. We are followers of Bhagat Singh and our fight against oppression, injustice and dictatorship will continue.”

Earlier in the week, he was examined at Safdarjung Hospital for a spinal injury resulting from a previous fall in the jail’s bathroom, as reported by jail officials. Mr Jain appeared frail and was observed wearing a waist belt at the hospital, raising concerns about his deteriorating health. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has disclosed that the former minister, who has reportedly lost around 35 kg since his arrest, is battling sleep apnea and requires a BiPAP machine while sleeping.

The repeated medical emergencies faced by Mr Jain have heightened concerns about his well-being, leading to discussions and debates regarding the conditions of his detention and access to appropriate healthcare. As the situation unfolds, there will likely be further attention given to the overall treatment and care provided to the former minister during his time in custody.
