New Delhi: In yet another major development, a court in Delhi on Tuesday has allowed Punjab Police to arrest gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for his alleged involvement in the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. The Punjab Police had filed two applications in Patiala House Court seeking Bishnoi’s arrest and transit remand.
The Delhi Police had brought gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to the Patiala House Court on Tuesday. He appeared in court today after his detention period ended in connection with an Arms Act prosecution.
Earlier today the police arrested two active members, each belonging to the gang of Lawrence Bishnoi and Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar.
The two accused identified as Gagandeep Singh alias Gaagi and Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi were arrested near Dara Studio of Mohali’s Jujhar Nagar. Both the accused are identified as residents of Dabbwali in the Sirsa district of Haryana.
Around 32 pistols and eight live cartridges and an SUV have been recovered from their possession.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vivek Sheel Soni said that based on a tip-off, the Mohali police along with a team of AGTF launched an operation and nabbed both the accused along with arms and ammunition while they were on their way to deliver a consignment of weapons.
