Burma: A devastating cyclone, Cyclone Mocha, has struck the coastlines of Bangladesh and Myanmar with the force of a category-five storm. Although the world’s largest refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar was spared a direct hit, hundreds of makeshift shelters were destroyed in its wake.

Tragically, at least five people have lost their lives in Myanmar, while Bangladesh is yet to report any casualties. The destructive power of this natural disaster serves as a stark reminder of the importance of disaster preparedness and emergency response measures.

Meanwhile, India Meteorological Department issued an update on cyclone Mocha, warning states which can have severe rainfall.

Meanwhile, Kamrul Hassan, who is the Disaster Official of Bangladesh reported on Sunday, that the state has not been highly affected by the storm. He continued by saying that there are continuous landslides and floods appearing in the area. Myanmar is reported to have more impacts from Cyclone Mocha.

Rakhine State in Myanmar suffered the most as the houses are being crushed by the cyclone. It was also reported by the media that a 14-year old boy died as a tree fell over him. There are numerous videos on social media platforms which show the destruction that the Cyclone has caused in Myanmar.
