New Delhi: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, in its nationwide case tally in the last 24 hours, has detected 13,652 fresh cases of COVID-affected people, which has pushed the overall case tally of the nation to 1,10,29,516. Also, the number of active caseloads across the states and the union territories currently stands at 1,43,921.
According to the report updated by the central health ministry on its official website, a total of 13,948 people have recovered in the last 1 day, including which the overall number of recovered people in India since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 1,07,24,435.
Besides a huge number of recovered people, deaths have been reported too; but the death count is comparatively much lower than the number of recovered cases. The nation has reported 103 deaths in the last 24 hours, with which the overall number of death cases in India has reached 1,56,601.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra and Kerala have once again topped the list of the greatest contributors in the nationwide caseload. The MoHFW has detected 6,218 and 4,034 fresh cases in Maharashtra and Kerala. The currently active caseload in Maharashtra is 53,409, while in Kerala the number of active cases stands at 54,661. Notably, 1,17,45,552 vaccine doses have been administered across the states and the UTs since the beginning of the nationwide inoculation drive.
