Coronavirus Update: Recovery rate surges to 92%; 76.56 lakh recovered so far

Covid update: India has reported 46,253 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The total caseload now stood at 8,313,876. The nation’s loss of life has mounted to 123,579 after 514 more fatalities were reported in a single day. 

The number of recoveries surged to 76.56 lakh, pushing the national recovery rate to over 92 percent, according to the Union Health Ministry’s data updated on Wednesday.

Delhi recorded its most elevated single-day spike of 6,725 new Covid cases and its total count of cases crossed the 400,000 mark. Kerala’s count is creeping towards 450,000 with 6,862 new cases being distinguished. 

The Union health minister said that Delhi, Kerala, West Bengal and Manipur had demonstrated an expansion in the quantity of Covid diseases between October 3 and November 3. During a similar period, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh were the top states which enlisted a decrease in the quantity of active Covid-19 cases.

> Uttar Pradesh – 485,609 cases

 According to the Indian Council of Medical Research report, the total samples tested up to November 3 is 11,29,98,959, including 12,09,609 samples tested on November 3.

Covid antibody update:

Cadila Healthcare (Zydus Cadila) said it had finished enrolment and dosing of 1,000 volunteers in Phase-II clinical preliminaries of its potential Covid-19 immunization, ZyCoV-D, and it intended to present the information to the DCGI this month. 

World Covid update:

The worldwide count of Covid cases remains at 47,807,240. While 34,312,643 have recouped, 1,218,982 have died up until this point. The US, the most awful hit nation, has 9,684,892 cases, and 238,542 have died from the infection there. It is followed by India, which has 8,313,876 cases, Russia (1,673,686) and Brazil (5,567,126).
