New Delhi: After many days, India saw a decline in the fresh cases of novel coronavirus. As many as 70,589 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the total tally to 61 lakh mark.
India’s Covid-19 tally stands at 61,45,292 including 9,47,576 active cases while 51,01,398 have been cured, discharged or have migrated.
In a single day, the country recorded 776 deaths, taking the number of fatalities to 96,318, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said today.
India has witnessed close to 100% increase in recoveries in the past month. More than 82% of total cases— exceeding 50 lakhs— were recovered and discharged. Active cases — lower than 10 lakhs — are a small proportion of the total cases, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said today.
Meanwhile,The Union Health Ministry has dispatched an online interface that will give immensely significant data on Covid, antibody development, continuous clinical trials and progress made around there locally and internationally. The “antibody web-based interface” and the ”National Clinical Registry for Covid-19” have been created by ICMR.
