New Delhi: According to the latest update of the Union Health Ministry, the Coronavirus cases in India has crossed the 47.5 lakh mark with a major surge in cases across the country since last week.
However, the numbers reported today have remained lower than the one reported a day before.
94,372 new positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours has taken the total count of confirmed cases in the country to 47,54,356.
Meanwhile, the death toll reached 78,586 with 1,114 new fatalities. There are 9,73,175 patients who are under active supervision whereas 37,02,595 patients have recovered till now.
India’s recovery rate is currently 77.88%, while the mortality rate is 1.65 percent. 58% of the new recovered cases are being reported from 5 states – Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka & UP.
A total of 5,62,60,928 samples tested up to 12th September. Of these, 10,71,702 samples were tested yesterday.
Meanwhile, The Union Health Ministry on Sunday issued ‘post COVID-19 management protocol’, which included the use of Chyawanprash, Yogasana, Pranayama and walks among suggestions.
