New DelhiThe Covid-19 count in India crossed 44 lakh after about 96,000 new cases were enlisted,  the highest ever recorded for any country in a single day . The loss of life additionally expanded from 73,890 to 75,063, as per most recent bulletin by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

“The total number of coronavirus cases stand 44,65,864 including 9,19,018 active cases, 34,71,784 cured/recovered/migrated and 75,062 deaths,” the Health Ministry said.

India registered a record 95,735 coronavirus cases in 24 hours. The country also recorded the highest deaths in a day with 1,172 fatalities. The last recorded highest spike was on Tuesday when India registered 90,802 cases. The highest deaths were recorded a day later with 1,133 fatalities.

There have been 72,939 recoveries in the last 24 hours – total recoveries stand at 34,71,783. The recovery rate in India has now reached 77.74 percent. Meanwhile, there are over 9.19 lakh active cases in India, which is the second most affected nation due to the deadly virus in the world.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has so far tested a total of 5,29,34,433 samples for Covid-19 up to September 9.

“The total number of samples tested up to September 9 is 5,29,34,433 including 11,29,756 samples tested yesterday,” the ICMR said.

While AstraZeneca declared an impermanent stop late on Tuesday to the worldwide preliminaries of the Covid-19 antibody up-and-comer created by the University of Oxford because of a serious adverse event in the United Kingdom, recruitment of members in India had just been required to be postponed a week ago after the initial 100 members were managed the shot.
