New Delhi: According to the data that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has updated in its official website based on its latest tally regarding the COVID-19 affected people in the nation.

A total of 18,910 people across the states and union territories have been confirmed positive with the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the span of the last 24 hours. With the latest count, the overall caseload of India counted since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 10,720,971. Besides, the country currently bears 1,69,284 active cases.

Also, a total of 20,315 patients in the last 24 hours were finally tested negative with the virus and were declared to be recovered, taking the count of recovered people in the country to 10,393,162.

While on the other hand, 162 latest deaths in the last 1 day have caused the death toll of the country to be mounting to 1,54,047.
