Besides that, the active caseload in the country currently stands at 1,82,833. Also, in the last 1 day, 17,166 people have recovered. The overall number of recovered patients in the nation has commendably reached 10,300,063. A total of 1,53,221 people, on the other hand, has died of the viral disease, including the 153 deceased Indians in the last 1 day.

In the list of the states having the highest number of currently active cases, Kerala, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Chhattisgarh are the top 5 states.

The state of Kerala currently contains 65,381 active cases; Maharashtra has 54,045 active cases; the current caseload in Uttar Pradesh is 14,260; West Bengal currently bears a caseload of 11,985 COVID-affected people; the state of Chhattisgarh has 11,435 cases.
