New Delhi: India continues to register a hike in its cases for 4 weeks. The total caseload climbed to 1,12,62,497 after 17,873 fresh cases were recorded. 0.7% of the total caseload stood for active cases signifying a decline to 1,81,645 when compared over 4 weeks.

As per the Union Health Ministry, the recovery rate stood at 96.9% registering 20,643 new discharges climbing the total to 1,09,18,129. Tracing the trajectory of mortality due to COVID; an irregular graph was recorded which presented deaths above hundred in the past 24 hours.

The Union Health Ministry reports Punjab recording hike in its cases with another 1027 cases and 505 deaths. Telangana joined the race reporting 189 fresh cases in the past 24 hours.

As per ICMR, 7,63,081 infectious samples have been tested across the nation on 9 March. As per MoHFW, total 10,28,911 vaccine doses were administered on the fifty third day of nationwide COVID19 vaccination programme. Out of which 7,98,354 beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and 2,30,557 HCWs and FLWs received 2nd dose of vaccine.
