New Delhi: As per the latest updated data by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on their official website, a total of 13,053 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed across the states in the last 1 day, which has taken the overall case surge of the country to 10,734,026.
The tally conducted by the health ministry also reveals that the current active caseload of the country stands at 1,67,316. Also, according to the data revealed by the tally, a total of 14,872 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the viral ailment and have been tested negative in the last 24 hours. Including the latest recovery report, the total recovered population has reached 10,408,034. Meanwhile, 137 people died of the viral disease, taking the death toll to 1,54,184.
The percentage of the active caseload in the country amidst the overall population stands at 1.58%. The percentage of people discharged after recovery is significantly commendable in comparison with the other countries, a whopping 96.98%, while the death rate of the country is 1.44%.
It is noteworthy that, since the beginning of the nationwide vaccination drive, which is also the world’s largest inoculation drive, the overall number of people that have been vaccinated till now, has reached 29,28,053.
