Delhi: According to the Union Health Ministry Bulletin, 50,465 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The total caseload now stood at 8,363,412. The nation’s loss of life has mounted to 124,315 with the virus claiming 704 lives in a span of 24 hours in the country, the data updated at 8 am showed.
The COVID-19 case fatality rate was recorded at 1.49 per cent. There are 5,27,962 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country which comprises 6.31 per cent of the total caseload while 77,11,809 people have recuperated so far pushing the national recovery rate to 92.20 per cent.
Delhi recorded its most elevated single-day spike of 6,842 new Covid cases and its absolute tally of cases hit 4,09,000. Kerala’s count currently remains at 4,48,000 with 8,516 new cases being distinguished.
