The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, through its regular tally, has detected 11,000 new COVID-19 cases across the states and the union territories in the last 24 hours, which it has updated on its official website on Wednesday morning.
Including the last 2 hours’ case surge, the overall caseload in the nation surges to 10,778,206. Besides, the active caseload in the nation stands at 1,57,355.
Also, the health ministry has updated that a total of 14,249 patients physically affected by the SARS-CoV-2 virus have got cured after being into quarantine and essential medical surveillance, and tested negative in the last 24 hours, after suffering from the virus.
With the latest count of recovered people in India, the overall recovery rate since the beginning of the pandemic reaches 10,461,699. It is noteworthy that, the recovery rate in India is commendable in comparison with the other countries amidst the pandemic. On the other hand, a total of 113 people across the states and the UTs have died of the viral disease in the last 24 hours, with which the overall death toll in India has mounted to 1,54,635.
