New Delhi: India has recorded 1,00,55,560 Coronavirus cases since the first case reported in the month of January in Kerala , which include 1,45,810 deaths. The number of recovered people after being attacked by the viral ailment is 90,06,111. Right now, the number of active cases in the country is 3,03,639.
In India, states that have lately reported the highest number of cases are Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. Besides, the number of infected people is taking a rapid lift in states such as Kerala and West Bengal. Thankfully, the recovery rate in India has also continued to rise, standing at 95.4% currently.
In the last 24 hours, India has conducted 11.07 lakh tests, recording 24,337 fresh cases, as per the data released by Union Health Ministry.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has released a data, according to which, in India, “a cumulative total of 16,20,98,329 samples have been tested for COVID-19 up to December 20, with 9,00,134 samples being tested on Sunday”.
Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Centre has updated its global data, according to which, over 7.76 crore people have been infected by the COVID-19 virus, while among them, 16.92 lakh people have died till now.
