New Delhi: Registering a steady increase, the nation recorded 4,03,738 infections and 37,41,368 active cases in the past 24 hours. The number of people who have recuperated after treatment has surged to 1,86,65,266. As per the data documented, the fatality rate rose to 1.1 percent recording 3,747 deaths.

The worst-hit state Maharashtra reported a drop after 35 days, registering 48,401 infections with 572 deaths. A total of 60,226 individuals were discharged during the day.

Assam COVID -19 tally rose to 2,92,368 as 3,299 more infectious were reported. The NHM reported 48 deaths that took the toll to 1,676. West Bengal also registered a spike with 19,441 new cases and 124 mortalities.
On the vaccination front, Delhi administered nearly 38,96,551 doses of COVAXIN and COVISHIELD since the initiation of the drive.
