The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, in its official website, has updated its latest case-count of the COVID-19 affected people across the states and union territories of the nation.

According to the data released by the ministry, a total of 12,573 freshly affected coronavirus cases have been detected by the ministry. With the fresh count, the overall caseload in the country has been lifted to 10,690,279. Besides that, India currently bears 1,73,731 freshly active cases. 

The tally conducted by the health ministry has also recorded the number of recoveries in the last 24 hours, which reveals that the total number of people who have recovered completely in the last 1 day after suffering from the viral disease, is 13,021, whilst the number takes the overall recovery rate of the country to 10,358,328.

On the other hand, 127 deaths took place nationwide since yesterday, who died of this viral disease. The overall death toll in India, including the latest count, has mounted to 1,53,751.

“Kerala, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Chhattisgarh, together contributed to the highest number of cases to the country’s current tally of active cases”, declared the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in its latest press release.
