New Delhi: According to the latest data updated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the coronavirus case tally across the states and UTs has recorded a total of 14,472 fresh cases, which has pushed the overall case surge of the nation to 1,06,26,200.
Besides, the total number of currently active cases in the country stands at 1,85,826. Also, in the last 24 hours, overall 17,726 COVID-affected people have been tested negative after essential treatment and quarantine.
The lastly recorded number of recoveries has taken the overall cases of recovered patients to 10,282,889, keeping the percentage of recovery in the nation at 96.78%. On the other hand, a total of 161 deaths due to the viral disease have been recorded across the states and the UTs. Thus, the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 1,53,067, with a 1.44% mortality rate.

Notably, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has released a statement on Friday, according to which, the council has by now conducted more than 190 million (19 crores) RT-PCR and antigen tests in order to detect the presence of the SARS-CoV-2.
