New Delhi: On Friday, the Central Government’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has taken to its official website to update its latest tally, which was run to record the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
As per the data updated by the union health ministry, the number of confirmed cases across the states and the union territories in the last 24 hours is 12,401, which has pushed the overall case surge of the nation since the beginning of the pandemic to 10,803,533.
The health ministry, however, has also updated the current caseload of the virus-affected people in the country, which stands at 1,48,750.
Also, a total of 15,888 people have recovered and tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours, after suffering from the viral ailment. With the latest count of recovery, the overall number of recovered people has reached 10,495,401.
On the other hand, the nation has also witnessed 120 deaths caused by the virus in the last 1 day, which has now pushed the death toll to 1,54,862.
