Saharanpur, Uttarpardesh: In Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, a newborn is named as “sanitizer”. They said that nowadays sanitizer is the biggest weapon in fighting against the pandemic coronavirus.
In a video shared on Twitter, the newborn’s father said, “As sanitizer helps us fight against the coronavirus and my baby is born during the lockdown. This name will keep reminding us of our participation in PM Narendra Modi’s efforts against Coronavirus in the country.”
The child was born on Sunday in a private hospital of Saharanpur district. The couple also have two daughters. According to the couple, before the birth of the child, they had already made up their mind that if a baby boy is born, then they will name him sanitizer. The child’s name will be registered in the official documents as sanitizer only.
Father of the child, Omveer stated that “My wife and I have been deeply impressed by the effective measures taken by both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanat. That’s why we decided to give our son the name of the biggest weapon against this pandemic “sanitizer”.Amidst the nationwide lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak, various parents in different states of the country have reported the unique name of their newborn children.
There have been different cases of trending naming across the country. The two newborns baby in Andhra Pradesh is named as Corona Kumar and Corona Kumari. On 7 April, another couple from Madhya Pradesh named their son lockdown. Apart from this, a couple in Chhattisgarh state had reported the name of their newborn twins, COVID and Corona, which was the most discussed topic on social media.
